Strings of Love

Day Two Blog by Joyce Howell

The darkness of the night gave way to the purple hues of the morning sky. Each passing moment electrified my spirit knowing God was present and the light was approaching. Today I saw the sunrise.      Genesis 3:1 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God’s sureness, steadfast faithfulness in the sunrise prepared me for the upcoming day.

  1. God is in control

  2. What appears to be a difficulty to man is a testament to God’s Kingdom.

We landed safely in Haiti, stayed overnight at the RMI Zangleis Missionary Center and today we will journey to Dame Marie, Haiti. We first stopped at Les Cayes depot to pick up RMI team members equipment and vehicles. Next, onto Dame Marie, Haiti to meet our family in Christ.

Make our path straight God- let this journey glorify You. This has been our prayer. God brought us together on one accord when we encountered several difficulties.  Two flat tires on the same army surplus truck - waiting for tire repairs, gave the team an opportunity to pray, sing songs of praise, testify of His goodness and acknowledge that God is in control.  Romans 8:28.

Now the big test came when the same truck was denied crossing the only bridge that would lead us to Dame Marie, Haiti. Our team was delayed several hours, we don’t know how, why, when the truck would cross- But, we serve a risen Savior in Jesus Christ and God’s Word is true. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Just as the sun rose this morning- God’s faithfulness has not changed- His work in us would be complete the moment we saw the truck cross the bridge. We continued (4) four hours late to Dame Marie, MEBSH Church where they were still waiting to receive us. The testimony comes alive with praise- Jesus died on Calvary’s Cross, and rose again with the promise of eternal life. How sweet is Love in the newness of every day.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
