Days for Girls Personal Care Kits completed
What a week. Here is a group photo of many, but not all, of the ladies who cut fabric, sewed, folded, threaded ribbon and packaged the Personal Hygiene Kits for girls to be taken to Dame Marie, Haiti this October. Our goal was 100 bags and we plan on carrying them with us on October 20-27th. What a blessing! Thank you so much! The girls will be happy to see who sent them these much needed and much appreciated gifts!
Cycle Three Sneakers have shipped!
On Wednesday September 27th Ken Thorne Sr. ( as he has done for all three cycles of delivery), came to Christ Baptist Church to prepare our 500 pairs of sneakers to be sent by truckto Florida and then by helicopter on to Les Cayes, Haiti directly to Missionary Rob Thompson. Once we arrive, we hope to take them with us to Dame Marie where they will shared among the villages. String of Love, Haiti is so blessed to have Deacon Thorne as one of our advocates. As with each cycle Geoff Taylor of CH Worldwide Shipping has been a godsend. I am so grateful for both companies especially for Ken and Geoff both who have been there with us from the beginning, helping to make it happen.
