In this picture sneakers are being presented to the Pastor of the Grand Barierre Baptist Church. He was so appreciative. We opened a box and everyone was so surprised to see such wonderful new shoes! Thank you Strings of Love supporters. Looks like there will be a Cycle 3 as the schoolmaster said that the enrollment increased once the sneakers were given out. Now even more children will prayerfully be able to go to school. We are here in Dame Marie, Haiti with Deacon Milton Fox, Councilperson Joyce Howell and Will Joseph. Pastor Guy Glass and three leaders from Bethany Baptist Church in Florida are with us as well as the RMI staff of translators, missionaries and drivers. Earlier today we had a great Diabetic Clinic led by Dr. Sherri Gillis Funderburk, an Endocrinologist who practices in Hamilton, NJ. We continued the screenings in the afternoon (risk assessment worksheet, blood pressures, height and weight and blood glucose.) The Clinic received a really good response. We complete it tomorrow and have lots to leave with the Clinic across the street. Pastor Glass preached a strong message at the Sunday morning service and Min Emmanuel Paul preached powerfully at the evening outdoor service even with a sore and hoarse throat. It was a time of High Praise. We gave out 41 goats in between services. God is answering many prayers. The heat is getting to many of us and some of us have taken sick, but after a day or so most have rebounded. Hydration is key. We drink water and Gatorade constantly. Tomorrow is another morning of the Diabetic Clinic, and then the Ladies' Tea where I share a Gospel Message and we give out the Solar Lights as gifts for the ladies. Thanks for sending us and for continuing to pray for us. I am available by text. Bondye beni ou. God bless you.
